Another Burns Boy....

It looks like MOST of you were WRONG! LOL!

It looks like another Burns BOY is on the way.I really did want a little girl, and I am having some feelings of disappointment right now. I'm sure that I'll get over it in time. I was really hoping for long hair and pierced ears, and little dresses.... I even bought a couple little newborn girly dresses. I guess that they can just stay in my Hope Chest.

He looks perfect, so I really need to be happy about that. And now on to finding the perfect boy's name.

I've already baked my blue cake for tomorrow night's dinner. I couldn't very well do it while my mom was here, or that would give it away.

Yesterday I did make myself feel better. I went ahead and ordered the new Baby's Big Boy Room bedding!

We aren't going to redecorate the nursery for him, and the 2 boys will share a room when they can. So I went ahead and ordered another quilt and sham, so their bedding can match!

It is going to look so cute in some bunk beds! I'm a dork, I know! So... any name suggestions? Something not too popular and goes well with our last name and with Seth's name?

****************

Amy, you asked about the font I used in my new photog signature. It's called Albemarle Swash. I love it, its a new favorite of mine! Enjoy!

Congratulations!! How exciting that Seth will have a little brother to play with :)

No name suggestions, though...we've had so many discussions about a boy's name it isn't even funny!! :) Good luck with that!

Congratulations, Andrea! I'm with Charlene...Seth will have a brother to grow up with and that is SO cool! Adorable bedding too!

I picked up Riley Armstrong's La Loop you recommended a few days ago from the Real Player Music Store last night. I LOVE it!! I had to laugh, because I have washed my cell phone in the washing machine too! Don't hesitate to give recommendations anytime as if they are this good I'll be getting them! Newsboys are my all-time favorite too!

Congratulations on your healthy baby boy!! I know how you feel about the little bit of disappointment. I have 4 boys and no girls, and you KNOW I had to want a girl in there somewhere, but honestly, and I'm sure you already know this, as soon as you see that baby, you wouldn't trade him for any girl in the world.

Congratulations again!!

Congrats!! I know exactly how you are feeling - I was a teeny bit dissapointed when we learned that we were having another girl. But now that Natalie is here, I can't imagine our family any other way!!

As far as names - our boy name was Christian, I always loved that name.

And have fun revealing the news, what a great idea!

Congratulations, Andrea!!! I'm so happy he's healthy too! Hopefully you'll still get your little girl someday. :) I have to say I know I'd feel the same way....big hugs to you- I'm sure Seth will be a fantastic big brother!

I was so hoping for a girl for you so we could see girly layouts! I have 2 girls, 2 years apart, and they are so great together; best friends already. Seth is very lucky to have a brother coming so close in age to him. I was disappointed at first to find I was having another girl, but it quickly fades and the excitement of the future soon replaces it. As for a name, we like Sean, and it would go well with Seth and your last name. Congratulations! Oh, and you could always try for a girl next time!

Andrea, I think I know exactly how you feel with dreaming of and picturing a little girl but God having other perfect plans for your family. I was excited right off the bat and THEN some *slight* disappointment set in. Our second still doesn't have a name and we've known for over 2 weeks now. We've had the "perfect" girl name for 3 years.

Congrats on your perfect little boy. Their room is gonna be so cute and they'll be the bestest of friends.

Congrats on your little boy! They will be the best of friends! If you are looking for names, check out The Baby Name Wizard by Laura Wattenberg. It's different than your typical names book and it even gives sibling suggestions that match the style of the name that you already have.

Congrats!! You will feel better about another boy in time. :) We had wished for a boy for my last one and it was a girl...3 girls in a row, lol.

Glad everything looks great! Good luck on a boy's name! :)

Congratulations!!! I think it's totally normal to have to mourn the idea of whichever you're not having. I have two girls and I know that no matter what the next one is, I'll be happy about some aspects of it and sad about some aspects of it. Totally normal and before you know it, you'll be thinking about all the great things that comes with having two boys. Like that you'll be the center of their world for instance. ; ) You should see this layout that Jenn did about her boys. So cute! http://www.digishoptalk.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=30570&cat=500&ppuser=477

Congrats Andrea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you were wanting a girl. I was feeling the same way too. But once you have him & seth, you won't want to trade it for anything. I already see the bond that both my boys have together. I hope that your boys will grow up being the best of friends!

Hey Andrea! Heather here from the September 2004 BBC board:) Not sure if you read my post on BBC, but I was telling you about the name Harrison for a boy, what do you think? I think it is classic, yet masculine, AND it goes w/ Burns as a last name!
Best of luck to you and congrats again!

Yeah, I don't think there's anyway that's NOT a boy, but congratulations! Having two boys to play with is totally fun! Oh, and Wendy Bee has an adorable crib set with firetrucks and dalmation puppies. Very cute too!

Awwww...what sweet pictures!! :D Congratulations sweetie...I can't believe I was wrong! LOL I thought for sure it would be a girl...not sure why though :P heehee ;)

LOVE the bedding...too cute ;)

Names...well, we had thought about Jakob, Samuel, and Benjamin for our son Joshua, before he was born. I really like those four names because I think the nick names are really cute :)

Congrats! Having 2 of the same sex can definitely have advantages = ) I'm sure you'll find the perfect name. Personally, I think Seth and Isaac would be a good combo.

Chiming in a lil late..

We tried to choose a name that he could shorten if he wanted to.

We went with Lachlan Thomas..
He gets Lochs, and Lochie and Lochie T alot.. (so much we are having trouble convincing him of his surname..LOL

Good Luck!
