A Review....

Bet you didn't know it was still Christmas time.... LOL!

First Christmas
Lucas

****************

I did something yesterday that I hadn't done in a year. I saw a movie in the theater! I'm not even sure the last movie counts since it was Ratatouille, LOL! I saw The Other Boleyn Girl. I read the book, I loved the book. Did I like the movie? Not so much. I'm not sure the people who wrote the script of the movie actually read the book, since they strayed so far from it. I also feel that the movie rushed through too many things and left out vital details. What I really can't understand is how the movie's ending and the book's ending (the reason of Anne's imprisonment) were complete opposites.

Lucas' birthday party is this coming weekend. I am so sad about that! But I have some planning to do, like some food stuff. I thought about getting an Edible Arrangement but $75 for some pineapple on a stick didn't sit well with me, LOL!

I'm kind of starting to think books I love don't make great movies. I love the book One Night With The King (Queen Esther's story)but the movie was horrible. Not only did it not follow the book but it didn't follow the book of Esther either. It was terribly dissapointing. Hopefully you can see another (good) movie soon. :)

Those are two of the cutest layouts I've seen in a long long time. You create gorgeous work.

Those edible arrangements are cool, aren't they. But yes, very $$$$. I was thinking about seeing the movie -- maybe I'd like it since I never read the book! I usually don't like the movies after I've read the book.

I have the utmost faith in you that you can make on eof those yourself! And make sure you have some chocolate in a bowl next to it- a little fondue action to go along with it!
Henry's birthday party is this weekend, too. I've got to get on the ball with gathering everything I need for that one. *sigh*

Hey I saw that movie yesterday too...and felt the same way as I had LOVED the book.

Although I must not have read the book as closely as you because I thought her being in prison was for the same reason. One thing I did like (as a mother) was seeing Kristin Scott Thomas's character...didn't get that in the book so much.

2 gorgeous layouts.

I read the book in a Book Group - and loved it. I hate when a film is nothing like the book - maybe I will give it a miss.

****SPOILER FOR KRISTEN****

In the book it was assumed they were guilty and had indeed had a relationship, whereas in the movie it looked like they were just falsely accused.

Jenn, HA! LOL!

Just from looking at the movie trailer on TV I could tell that they had taken the book completely out of context. It reminds me of the disaster the movie Eragon was (although I liked Ed Speleers in his first role) and how Christopher Paolini came out and said that he had nothing to do with the making of the movie. I will probably rent this one on DVD, but won't go see it in the theater. How was Eric Bana? I heard mixed reviews on his role, although I liked him in Troy.
